It was a great success! We got up early and prepped the turkey.
Somehow we found a way to all work in there at the same time while baking pies, making stuffing and gravy. That was fun.
We played Scrabble while we waited…
Ta-DA! The turkey looked gorgeous! (I promise it tasted just as amazing! We were all pleasantly surprised we got it all right the first time!)
John and Tommy did the honors…
and we were ready to eat around 3:35p.m.
We finished Scrabble after dinner, went for a walk and then watched the best Emma version ever.
On Black Friday we skipped the malls and went out to nature. We went to Amicalola State Park (also the trailhead of the Appalachian Trail) and climbed the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi. Yep, all 729 feet. We had a picnic with turkey sandwiches at the top of the waterfall. It was beautiful.
We had a bonfire that night and prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse the next day some more…
We had a great time!
